Sublime Olympic Beach Sunset

This mind-blowing sunset photo was taken in October 2017 at the Chilean Memorial on the Olympic Coast of Washington State.
 
Beach Photography that Expands The Horizon 
 
We had planned this mid-October Olympic Peninsula fine art photography trip as a backpacking trip deep into the Hoh Rainforest to photograph fall color, but when we arrived in the Hoh, all of the leaves were still green. So, we decided to change our plans and head to the coast to do beach photography art instead. We started on Rialto Beach and headed north, spending one night by Hole in the Wall where I was delighted to take several other types of fine art beach photography wall art – daytime beach photographs, rainbow beach photographs, and more.
 
The next morning, we hiked to the location of this fine art beach photography wall art print: The Chilean Memorial. It’s a campsite at the location of a major shipwreck, and it’s also one of the most beautiful beaches on the Olympic Coast, but it was not easy to get to. Between Rialto Beach and the Chilean Memorial beach were two major rocky outcroppings into the Pacific Ocean which could only be rounded at low tide. So not only were we pressed for time, but the rocks were slippery and some sections we had to cross had large stretches of boulders, all while I was carrying about 65 pounds of backpacking and camera gear. In the end it was all worth it! After setting up camp, we were treated to one of the most glorious beach sunsets I’ve seen in my entire life. This beautiful beach picture was taken just after the sun went down, with plenty of light and color still in the sky. There is a unique range of colors in this professional beach photography print.
