Lake Whatcom Photography - Beauty From Sunrise to Sunset
One of my first Lake Whatcom photographs to be included in my fine art lakes photography collection, this glorious sunset was the reward on our first hike up Bellingham, WA’s recently established Chanterelle Trail. This area of Lake Whatcom Park is part of the 8,800 acres acquired by Whatcom Land Trust in 2014 to protect this important forest and the natural services it provides for the watershed. The yellow-orange color of the sky in this Lake Whatcom photography art print is reminiscent of the popular chanterelle mushrooms this trail is named for.
This Lake Whatcom photography wall art exemplifies the grandeur and beauty of this watershed. The second growth forest in the foreground captures and filters rainwater and guides it into the lake through the water table and creeks. On the far left of this lake photograph you can see Bellingham Bay which is where the city of Bellingham sits. Lake Whatcom is the freshwater source for all of Bellingham, and this picture of Lake Whatcom captures it’s natural and protected beauty.
