I wake up hours before dawn to create Pacific Northwest mountain sunrise photography, and maybe 1 in 10 times the conditions are good enough to capture fine art photography wall art. This morning was my very first on a 9-day Pacific Northwest mountain photography art expedition that would take me through the South Cascade Mountains: Mount Rainier, the Goat Rocks Wilderness, and on to Mount Adams. I got to Reflection Lakes well before dawn and was able to get perfectly positioned for this Mount Rainier photograph, in front of these delicate daises and stunning pink spirea. The lake was a perfect mirror with elegant mist drifting across its surface. The first rays of sunlight were just starting to illuminate the clouds, bringing a cheery pink hue into the cool blue and purple sky, the tones of which were glistening on the glaciers in this Mount Rainier photography Metal Print.
